it was the most important urban center among the 250 native settlements
discovered so far in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Its population
oscillated between 1,400 and 3,000 inhabitants.

DAY 1
Approximate time: Santa Marta – Mamey (3 hrs. In vehicle); Mamey to Camp 1 (4 hrs.)
The Lost City tour starts from the moment when we pick you up or with your arrival at facilities of our office, from here we start in jeep on a journey of approximately 3 hours to the path of Mamey, a place where we will start our walk of about 7.6 km. Halfway we will stop at the Mirador de las tres cruces to taste delicious fruits and continue until the first hut “Adán” or “Alfredo” a few minutes later, where we will spend our first night. During this tour we will enjoy natural pools that we offers the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and in which we can take a delicious bath.

DAY 2
Approximate time: Camp 1 to Camp 2 (3 hrs); Camp 2 to Mutanyi (20 min.); Mutanyi to Camp 3 “Paraíso Teyuna” (5 hrs.)
Our new day brings us another adventure where after having breakfast, the tour begins from the first camp to the second “Cabaña Wiwa” where we can enjoy a refreshing swim in the Buritaca river while we take
wait for lunch. After a short break our adventure continues into the Sierra Nevada, bordering an indigenous town of the Kogui community called “Mutanyi” and we will continue until reaching the third camp “Paraíso Teyuna”, where we will spend the night our second day.

DAY 3
Approximate time: Camp 3 to Lost City (1 hr.); Tour in the Archaeological Park (3 hours);
camp 3 to camp 2 (4 hours)
Very early we have breakfast, we will tour 2 km to start the ascent towards our longed-for Lost City climbing 1,200 steps that they drive to this majestic stone city composed of interconnected paths, walls containment, terraces with rings where they rested the dwellings of the ancient Tayronas. All of hersurrounded by a magical jungle of fauna and flora that gives us different views and landscapes from the days sunnier to the cloud forest. Here too we can meet the leader and protector of the mother nature and ancient Tayrona empire. Later of our journey we will descend to our third camp “Paraíso Teyuna” for lunch and then return to the second camp “Cabaña Wiwa” where you will spend the night.

DAY 4
Approximate time: Camp 2 to El Mamey (6 hs)
Our adventure in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, after taking the breakfast, you will leave on a walk of approximately 2 hours to Camp Adam or Alfredo where he slept the first night. Once in the first camp will take a quick break from fruit and water and will continue for another 4 hours all the way back to the Mamey where you will have lunch and you will get on board a 4×4 truck that will bring you back to Santa Marta.
